Well tried El Jacal again and like last time complete fail, flavor in there food is a hit and miss which could be over looked if they had good service but they do not. Out of every restaurant I have ever been to in over 20 states tis place by far has the worst service I have ever seen. Every time not just hit and miss. they do not deserve any support if they can not get waiters/ waitress that treat the customer with respect. They argued over an appetizer that was ordered and even over charged for a side and then would not change it even though it showed the other price in the menu. I say try mc donalds

I used to really like this place but then the last few times I ate there my fiance and I both ended up sick and we were not at all happy with the quality of the food. We were hoping that since the big remodel that everything would come back up to par. I went there for a Christmas gift exchange with my co-workers and the place looks great but I was still sorely disappointed with the food. Honestly, I prefer the Mexican food that you can get on the 2 Taco Trucks in town to the Mexican food in any of the sit-down restaurants here in town.

You have to love the little hole in the wall places! El Jacal is a place you must visit! We had beef gorditas which were amazing. Very authentic Mexican food here. Anai was our waitress-she was very nice and told us about the future expansion of the restaurant. Definitely the place to go if you don't want the same old boring Americanized Mexican food!

Unfortunately the big remodel this year did NOT fix the poor service, extremely slow bar and mediocre food. It's too bad because the place looks way better then it did. So now it's time to hire servers with personalities and bartenders that can make a decent margarita in under 10 minutes. That way at least the food will be tolerable.

Every time I have been here the service is HORRIBLE. The food is goo but it takes forever to get your food, you have to beg for drink refills and god forbid you ask for butter for your waffle. They look at you like you're crazy. And forget them drooping off your check. Once they see you have your food they don't come back to your table.

Stopped in on or way to the Denver airport and it was one of the few places open in town on the 4th of July. Good food and fast service. The flour tortillas were homemade and delicious.

Reasonable Mexican fare. Food is good. Prices are fair. Service is average. Don't like that they charge you for a bunch of extras. Like the atmosphere.

Food was ok but service was bad - 10 minutes to get my check (I had to request it) and then ten minutes for them to pick up my credit card. Not good

Great spot to stop when traveling! We wanted to try a local restaurant instead of fast food options and were very pleased. Good food, great prices and a lovely location. If you like large portions, this is your place. We wanted to stop again on our way home to Denver, but we were going past Ft. Morgan past the restaurant's closing time! We will dine there again soon.

Good Mexican food and good service. I had the taco salad which was small but good. Chips were homemade and fresh as was the salsa. Definitely worth the stop.

Tasty Mexican food, pleasant service, good atmosphere. We were just traveling through and pulled off to spend the night. Looked on Yelp and saw this place. Loved the enchiladas!

Pleasantly surprised. My Chile Relleno was fresh and very tasty. Service was great. My margarita was passable. We didn't try the fajitas, but they smelled great going by.

Ate here at the recommendation of a co-worker. Loved the whole experience. The place is very festive inside with brightly painted walls and several large paintings. We went early and were seated right away. We ordered the homemade chips to start - they came with 2 salsas: traditional tomato salsa and avocado cream salsa, both very tasty and a pleasant surprise. For mains, we had the green enchiladas with chicken in corn tortillas, and the chicken fajitas quesadilla. Both mains were served with yellow rice and refried beans, a bit of lettuce and a half of a roasted chili (which was delicious but very spicy). Service was good, place was clean, food was hot, tasty and came out without too long of a wait. We were really pleased with everything and would definitely recommend it! Unfortunately we are from out of town here on business so probably won't get to go back soon, but nice to know a solid Mexican place is right in town.

The BEST flavored Mexican Food I have ever had! I had the ground beef enchiladas and the meat wasn't the fast food ground beef taco meat, it was flavorful and natural colored nothing artificial. The prices are unheard of reasonable!! Highly recommend!!

Really nice atmosphere. Several patios and great music. However the service was TERRIBLE! Took an hour to get my chimichanga. No water refills, no beer refills. Dirty plates left on tables around us. But the prices are good $7.25 for dinner plate and $3.25 bottles of beer. Also my plate said it came with guacamole. There was no guacamole. Sad day. Fort morgan has better Mexican food to offer.

Passing through town on business and drive past this very inviting Mexican restaurant. And decided to stop in for lunch. HORRIBLE service!!!! 30+ min to get my food. Unacceptable. If you're on a time constraint stay away. Saw a couple other tables complain to staff about wait time as well. One left without even getting their food. Really too bad as this will certainly drive customers away and they will not return. I doubt I'll stop in again as there are plenty of other options in town. Too bad, food was pretty good and presented well.

My son's order was messed up twice and all it was...was a plain bean burrito. Extremely slow service. My other son had a hole in his styrofoam cup. Beers were warm. Check never came. Had to help waitress at the register with my tab...was such a bad experience I actually left a little angry. Will never return.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
